  • Zebra Z-Band Durability Report
    This document details the laboratory testing completed on Zebra Z-Band Direct Thermal Wristbands, featuring Zebra’s patent-pending antimicrobial coating.  Independent laboratories and the Zebra Technologies Supplies R&D Team tested the wristbands to ensure that they met Zebra’s high standards for image durability, scannability and comfort.  The test evaluated durability and potential to cause skin irritation.     Optimum scanning performance and image durability are important, especially when looking at the narrow 5 mil subset barcodes that are printed on today’s hospital wristbands. Zebra’s R&D Team tested the durability of images and text printed onto its Z-Band Direct and Z-Band QuickClip products, to determine how the durability of these products can be optimised.
